At The Things Conference we announced that V2 would become read-only from April 2021 and would shut down permanently in September 2021. We later extended these deadlines with a few months (read-only in June 2021, shut down in December 2021) to give the community a bit more time to migrate to The Things Stack (V3).
This means that the time has now come to start switching V2 to read-only. The first change is that we are going to disable registrations of new applications, end devices and gateways on The Things Network V2. That change will be made during this maintenance window.
Existing end devices and gateways on V2 will continue to work as they did before, but we strongly urge you to migrate them to V3 as soon as possible.
